About curriculum...

Curriculum is not a line. The curriculum is not a circle that repeats itself.

It can be a spiral?
One of the options for curriculum integration, and that never makes the schools at any level, is the attempt to integrate knowledge during the course, all excel in separate, disassemble, disintegrate the content studied, repeating the old mold.
How knowledgeable of the new curriculum in place, beyond the experience in dealing with students of three levels of education, transit easily between the various (most) disciplines.
The great advantage is that it got stuck to almost any specialty, never sailed long on familiar waters, which was a great joy, because the debate widened, with the students, the support shafts that formed at university.
Thus, by exercising the tutoring, I am cognizant of the need to combine knowledge and ideas of the new curriculum. I am not a guardian of a single discipline, when in fact the author is an expert teacher, tries to stability in certain areas of your choice.
The mentoring that I am part, implies a more extended, and can not be effected by a tutor that although teacher is not aware of the involvement in higher education.
Being a teacher at the college level in the new curriculum and distance education is complex. Most tutors are not prepared.
What invalidates and creates confusion in dealing with the activities.
But is new curriculum?

Or not?

CURRICULUM is (for me) the selection made by the student to life your profissional life

Each  discipline is supported by several authors, theory, ideas, research.
And the students include their experiences, new thoughts and learning and be able to be flexible in the future.

Paris is here! #change11

I'm very happy with my friends in the MOOC #Change11.
Thanks.

Paris is here, because everyone talks about  interesting topics.
I like to think about the Future: Future of Educacion, Future of Thought

This post is very good for me.
Yes, I want read about Pedagogy for net, Andragogy , blended learning because my students are adults.

I'm very happy because many of my thoughts  and actions are in a correct direction. This is important.
I Think about curriculum with this post, it is good! or here!

I read in parallel S. Dowens..

Reading Blogs #change11

My professional activity includes the following pillars and there can be no privilege, which are: leisure, sport, health and culture of body movement.
As we face the challenge of a bimodal course in distance education, we present instances that should not exclude these future teachers with updated knowledge and that makes reference to web2.0.
This Pedagogy applied may increase the knowledge of prospective teachers as learners of the XXI century.
The initial difficulty is that a distance learning differs from classroom teaching because there is no centralization in the figure of the teacher, or a change in a "power", promoting a initial disorientation. The contents are no longer just "duplicate" (retransmission without the least difference) by the students, but, remixed, transformed, and which is projected to experience a new student guide to colleagues.
Important to note that there is the field of digital tool that will lead the student to be independent, but their curiosity and desire to build a connection between what they do professionally with what is currently offered with digital technology and theirthoughts will be exhibited through writing or other language.
The Blog brings the joint use by a student of pictures, text, video, audio, interviewsand live performances. Thus the artifacts created to foster a sense of  learning, reflect the experience and broaden the understanding of the concepts learned.
As well as these allow the artifacts created act of  "progress" (carried forward) due to sharing of knowledge to others.
The path that the student must travel to orient itself without the constant presence of the teacher outlines the challenge of training teachers in modern times of fragmentation, of information, where we some consistency.
The freedom of the student seeks the support of Learning Theories (Constructivism,Connectivism, Cognitivism ...)
Finally, make sense of what will make connections to learning and its application through discussion forums, analogies, examples, games and different languages.
The curriculum content provides grants for solid experience to be experienced in practice or in academic writing. The collaborative approach mobilizes the ideas written, motivates the group and provides access to opinion polls. The choice of the blog is original and should lead the student into a wiki experience.
But the blog will be able to showcase their individual personal interests, together with the distance learning course. Thus there will be able to teach himself (in post, the choice of subject, the appropriateness of curriculum content that comes from (in their own independent thinking) and you learn as a group (and comments on the original platform debates at the Forum and that these discussions do not are superficial.)

Intermission - half of the cake

A few weeks were difficult for me at # change11!

I refer to T. Bates, C. Aldrich and McGreal mainly because the subject was located above the reach of my experiences.

But my time has been scarce for a few weeks.
Some proposed activities like Litlejohn still waiting for me!

Some weeks have been learning in practice and attempts to apply the faster.
Jan Herringhton, C. Quinn, J. Dron and N. White I consider important for my professional practice.
Cormier and Duval, we must follow and read it again.
Zoraini and Weller ,  my attempts to apply can happen in the near future.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas.

cognitive tools - 2

2009

I want my students to take ownership of the technology .This is authentic learning with the use of cognitive tools. It is a slow task.
.
My students in the recent past followed the traditional teaching, but now the communication is  so different.

  -   It situates knowledge in realistic contexts, thereby contextualising knowledge, and making it less likely to remain 'inert' when needed to solve problems;
- Realistic tasks cognitively challenge learners to solve problems and think in the same ways as professionals working in real world contexts;

1-    -  Technology-based cognitive tools can be used both in the processes and products of learning;

2-      - Complex tasks require the creation of real products and artefacts, and are more worthy of the investment of time and effort in higher education than decontextualised exercises and tasks.

- "Many methods of didactic education assume a separation between knowing and doing, treating knowledge as an integral, self-sufficient substance, theoretically independent of the situations in which it is learned and used. 1989 by John Seely Brown, Allan Collins and Paul Duguid

what kind of learning is more interesting?

Or.... what kind of learning students want.
I remember  S. Dowens, here

Some students do not know how to use the timer. but they know the hours and minutes by a clock.
Authentic learning facilitates the understanding of time.
The time is mathematics.
Some students did not know the musical phrases, but work with music.
Music and mathematics.
The "rhythm" is different from a student friend, but some teachers dont like.
The timing depends on the song with a rhythm, time of each one, and this can be a performance.
Young children imitate the movements of people, it is modeling.
Many learning involve the help of someone, after it is not necessary.

Cherry pedagogy?? no, no...

I like it! C. Quinn.
The post is your answer to us.
This is a good idea to reply to all writing!

"We have multiple challenges, and I'm just suggesting the concept of slow learning, a drip-irrigation versus flood metaphor, is a wedge to help drive us out of the event-based model and start addressing the issues raised: pedagogy, curricula, infrastructure, technology, politics, and more."(C. Quinn)

My students are currently studying Biochemistry and Nutrition, and then must write texts about.
And were not well.

I know why!!! They don't have autonomy.
Autonomy is not cherry!

four C`s and seven C`s

Text - C. Quinn
images - Osgemeos

we can accessorize our brains with mobile devices!

my student need converse, choose, create,  copy,  collaborate.......

this means identifying learning skills, articulating them, assessing them, and developing them.

A true learning organization is one where the individuals are developed continuously in a holistic way, and seamlessly across technologies and contexts.

Imagination before thinking

Zenós Frudakis (Liberdad)

Have you ever dreamed of gum? Have you ever dreamed with a glue and you're free?

In some cases it is an indication that you are out of orbit!!

"...addressing the epistemology of learners..."(C. Quinn) I like it.

OSGEMEOS - the man who  thought before thinking

The experience of the curriculum in compartmentalized disciplines that have no connection is discouraging.
My students need to contribute what they know, or imagine before thinking!
"..it's in the Nature of our cognitive architecture to have some randomness" (C. Quinn)

I work  and I look for activities in informal settings to extend the connections of my students.
I think to expand the possibilities.

The learning organization role would then be one of Facilitating this process of Developing roles, competencies and curricula.(C. Quinn)

Slow Education - connecting children to life

Sports, technology, concepts of nutrition! Slow education , slow movement!

Last week I've been busy with these new concepts.

Slow Learning or " what would my ideal learning situation be?”

A slow learning occurs when we are late or encounter difficulties in solving problems.
My plans to write about Dave Cormier still occupy my thoughts.
The last week was truly deplorable, consider a slow learner!

The first image can be considered a slow learner?(metaphor!)
I do not like to learn by obligation, I hate this form of learning.
Joining various topics and knowledge is a form of learning.
I've been thinking about curriculum, those who know and what could be possible

The second picture represents for me a layered learning! I like it.

Layered Learning and friends

"The goal is to use the events in your life as learning opportunities as much as possible (or preferable). "(C. Quinn)
